Lis Wiehl (born September 19, 1959) is an American author and an ex-legal analyst at Fox News.
She is currently an adjunct law professor at New York Law School. In the past she served as an associate professor at University of Washington Law School. She offered legal analysis on Bill O'Reilly's radio show as well as National Public Radio. She appears weekly on The O'Reilly Factor. The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly. Lou Dobbs Presently. The Imus breakfast shows. Legal Lis is the Legal Lis podcast and radio show.
Wiehl was born in Yakima, Washington, and was a graduate of West Valley High School in Yakima. She earned a bachelor's degree of Barnard College (1983), an MA in Arts in Literary Studies from University of Queensland (1985), and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Harvard Law School (1997).
Wiehl served as prosecutor at the US Attorney's office. She was the legal correspondent on the NPR program All Things Considered. She was the "deputy chief investigative attorney for Democrats on House Judiciary Committee" during Clinton's re-election. From 1995 until 2001, she served as a tenured law professor at the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle in which she was the director of the Trial Advocacy Program. She worked as an analyst for Fox News from 2001 until 2017.
