Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American and Canadian artist and singer. She has released more than 20 studio albums. The songs of DiFranco are classified as folk and alternative rock. However, they also are influenced by hip-hop music, jazz and punk. Ani Difranco has been deemed to be a feminist legend and Grammy award winner. As one of first female artists in the 90s, she founded her own label. The parents of DiFranco, Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were each attending. Her mother was born in Montreal as is her father, who is Italian descent. 32 Flavors is a hit song written that was performed and written by Ani DiFranco. The song can be found on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco, which was released in the year 1996. It was also featured on the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. In 2013, DiFranco apologized after it was revealed that she was hosting an event for three days on an old Louisiana slave plantation. The workshop was cancelled, but many (including this paper) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco apologized a couple of days afterwards.
