She is among the most well-known athletes in American time. Six women have been the only ones to win every one of the five World Cup alpine ski events. Overall, she's won 82 World Cup championships. In the wake of the World Championships that took place in Sweden this year, one of the most talented and most skilled ski racers from America will be retiring.
