Shay Mitchell

Shay Mitchell (born Shay Mitchell) is a Canadian actor, model and businesswoman. Her best-known role is as Emily Fields on the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. Shay Lo became a popular nickname among Jennifer Lopez Mitchell fans. When she was a young girl she was captivated by her passion for performing arts. She spoke to her parents about her dream of having a career. After achieving great results in dance and modeling her passion for modeling, she decided to try her hand at acting, and began acting classes in Toronto. Mitchell started her acting career by appearing in a string of commercials for television. After getting guest roles as well as some small roles in TV, she received her first big break in Pretty Little Liars when cast as Emily Fields. Critics and fans both were impressed with her performance. Her next step was to make a mark in the world of cinema through films such as Dreamland, Mother's Day and The Possession of Hannah Grace. Her part in the psychological thriller You It earned her greater recognition. Shay Mitchell also has a writing career. Along with Michaela Blayne she wrote an adult book called Bliss.
